I have my computer running 4 hours a day, but due to its low workload i usually turn it off to conserve power. So I am very much unlike those who run computers 24/7..... i'm more like 4/7..... How much power do you think it would use i dont see where it could use more than a couple light bulbs you could cut off your moniter and let the agent run Correct. A processor running all out consumes between 40-80 watts. Add in power consumption for the other bits (motherboard, ram, hard disk, etc.) and I'd estimate most systems will use around 100 watts continuously while crunching, as long as you turn off your monitor. No worse than leaving the porch light on. |
