I'm tired of being a team of one. What team shall I join? Anyone want me?
As the IT manager, I have free reign to play with the renderfarm here at work, so I have currently have 26 systems crunching 24/7 (barring times when we're rendering 3D stuff, of course). All but 2 systems are high end rackmount Boxx systems with dual 2400+ (or better) processors, so if they ever update the client to be able to take advantage of that, my scores should skyrocket. I'm currently ranked #2 in points generated, #5 in total CPU time, and #13 in results returned. So I bring a li'l something to the table. ;-) *curious to see where this goes...* |

CompuDude, that's some serious crunch power you offer, and I'd expect most teams woudl be interested in recruiting you. I too am curious to see where this thread goes.
Of course my team would love to have you, but we're a group from a car site, and unless you share our interest in that model car, there is probably a team that falls more in line with your interests. Do what is best for CompuDude. Maybe you should list your crunch power on ebay, see who REALLY wants it  |

Your enthusiasm is exemplary, Capt. Crunch, but I'm hoping to find a team that suits my personality more than the USA team. Good luck in your endeavors, though!
joatmon, I considered joining your team when I was first trying to see if I knew you, but as you noted and I discovered, because I find myself lacking a Vibe, I don't think your team is the right fit right, either. ;-) *wondering who else is recruiting... and how...* |

Hi CompuDude, I was asking myself the same question. My only request was to have a web site where I could meet and get in contact with someone for other reason then small talk about WCG. I tink I found it with 'My Online Team'. David is working on the web page. He already express his desire to include a forum on pets.

Like the previous message, I will not ask to steal your efforts or horsepower for personal gain. As a former track runner, we do the sweating, the gut aches and the rewards are for you to share with the larger team. Our real goal is locking hands and CPU's together to crack some science code for the researchers to get a leg up on the diseases of the past and prepare to deal with new ones (like drug resistant, etc.) for us and our precious younger family members.
