Re: Which team to join...

Boy, as entertaining as your post (and team!) is, my experimental time (college) is long past. ;-) I wish you luck with your toaster oven, however. I wish I had more friends like you... despite working in Hollywood, there's not nearly enough rainbow color in my life!

dswalker, I'm a little too California to go for a north caroline team at this point. Nice team, I'm sure, but not the right fit for me. :-)

Likewise for team Canada... hj, until I throw in the towel and ditch this country (and our so-called "President") for friendlier climes (I hear Vancouver is lovely...), I'm going to have to stay with my fellow countrymen in this venture. I'm about one straw away from emigrating, though!

Re: Which team to join...

Don't let that stop you CompuDude....!

Canada is a state of mind more than an actual Country when it comes to this grid.....

We want polite, consise, freindly people more than anything else...because in the end its not where you live but who you interact with throughout this journey called life.

P.S. There is no State more Canadian than California dude. You guys are fairly Liberal down there ya know. Well maybe Alaska is closer but its pretty cold up there.... wink

Re: Which team to join...

I would not join NoMad's team for all the money or protein crunching points in the world. Go read his posts. He is just out to cause trouble and pretend like he knows something about the subjects he posts on.

Join the USA team, but not the one No Mad is associated with.

Or you can always join up with my team. The offer is always on the table.

It's not my team!

There is no "my" or "I" in team. The team which I am but one member of is a team of individuals with a competitive spirit that found the "America (USA)" team the most enticing. Everyone here is working towards the EXACT same goal. Joining a team only heightens the experience of competition.

It's more like a relay race than anything else I think. Some of us may have better times than others but the race will end at the exact same time for all of us.

For the record, I'm not Canadian and never implied that I was Canadian.
Also, I would have to say California is probably one of the least Canadian of all the states, and with the most Canadian being Louisiana and the Great Lakes states.

Louisiana is the only state in the union that does not have counties. Its political subdivisions are called parishes.

Louisiana is the only state with a large population of Cajuns, descendants of the Acadians who were driven out of Canada in the 1700s because they wouldn't pledge allegiance to the King of England.

Louisiana is the only state that still refers to the Napoleonic Code in its state law.

Louisiana has very strong economic ties with Canada.

Re: Which team to join...

Hi CompuDude

This is just a thought

It seems to me there are a lot of teams that are trying to court you right now

I wonder how many of these members would be prepared to join a team that you decided to create.

As you have The Most To Bring To The Table and have contributed so much of your system time to this project already, it only seems fair and logical for you to be the Team Captain and recruit all of these members that want to be on a winning team.

Lets face it

You already have one hell of a start

You get to retain your points and position

And who knows, with a little help from the members here, your team has an outstanding chance of becoming No: 1

So guys lets all get behind CompuDude if he decides to create a team that has a legitimate chance of reaching this goal

On acceptance of this proposal, I would be proud to join him as I am sure are many others,

Regards

<GRAHAM>
