Re: cancer project is not running

There seem to be a number of bottlenecks in the system.

As Lawrence said, the scanner puts a hard limit on the work unit flow. But the raw scans need a lot of preprocessing before they can be put on the grid, and the results take a lot of analysis once they are returned. Also, I have no idea how or when the tissue samples are provided to the lab.

Or, to put it bluntly: they're doing their best. Have patience and add some other projects if you don't want your computer to be under-used.

Re: cancer project is not running

Well Folding @ Home is not what we have here (u mean Human Proteome Folding, which is temporarily suspended due a rare problem), Help Defeat Cancer is in short supply, thus u get Fighting Aids At Home if stock is low.

U don't say which agent u run, but with UD Agent u get 1 at the time, and then when one Work Unit is requested it's really the momentary availability.

There also the possibility u've not allocated enough harddisk space to the agent.....500mb is minimum, but 1gb or more is recommended....got it actually on 10gb and your swap file space must be allowed to grow to at least 1.5 times the ram size.

wtf = why the flustering?

ciao
