....I don't know if I would be mentioning the fact that I was a moderator over there. .... it seems to me moderators played a key role in suppressing evidence by ridiculing and perhaps even bullying those who were asking all the right questions. ..... In your post you talk about sueing UD.....I think I should also sue you for libel! Try asking the peeps as to what sort of Mod I was.......and why do you think I left the place!! |

In your post you talk about sueing UD.....I think I should also sue you for libel! Try asking the peeps as to what sort of Mod I was.......and why do you think I left the place!! I did not mention suit, that's a civil action used to recover damages and for other purposes. Damages would have amounted to electricity cost and depreciation of hardware, both of which would be difficult to determine, both of which would be fairly small considering the size of my operation. Not much chance of a recovery suit getting anywhere in court. I would prefer trial on criminal charges and I think there would be a good chance for conviction and so does my lawyer. He did crunch there, btw, and is some PO'd. You could ask your lawyer to file suit for libel but unless you can demonstrate a loss then your lawyer will advise you to pour yourself 3 fingers of your favorite spirits and forget it, if he's an honest lawyer. Desperate for work, some will press your case knowing you'll lose, and bill you anyway. And, of course, I mentioned moderators in general and never fingered you specifically, because I couldn't remember anything specific YOU said in the posts from grid.org forums RT has on his website, http://www.unofficialworldcommunitygrid.com. I do recall you posted several times on the topic and I do recall moderators ridiculing and perhaps bullying. I just wouldn't want a good moderator to be found quilty by association, you know how the mob can get out of hand. That's why I said I don't know if I would admit to being a moderator there. Shall we go review the posts? Up for a little kangaroo court? Might do you good, might give you reason to morph. You could keep your points and just morph. Or you could win a ton of admiration and respect. Edit added: Oh, why do I think you left? All your [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 8, 2006 12:17:54 PM] |

I was there through the entire sordid episode.
----------------------------------------The re-crunching of cancer units was noticed by peeps using UD-mon. Somebody noticed the same units in several slots, over and over again. They started asking questions. Many such questions got edited or even deleted. Sometimes threads were locked after questions were asked. Scribe was NOT one of those mods. Cranky old so-and-so he is ( ) Scribe was and still is "of the cruncher, for the cruncher".Those big red eyes kept order in many chaotic threads, bouncing users and questioning admin alike. There's still active spreading of misinformation and outright BS from people over there (like one who insists on using illegible tiny red font). ![]() Currently being moderated under false pretences |

You could'nt have got a better Mod than Scribe at Find-a-Drug either. That place more or less policed itself really. Mainly because of the influence of the Mods (Scribe being one of them) and the Admin there.

Edit added: Oh, why do I think you left? All your I don't need to go & review posts I was there then. Don't think it was long before I left either. The admin there needed Scribe more than he ever needed them. Yes there were several mods there then but Scribe was the only one that would actually try to keep things going the rest did very little. The place was a crap hole after with the monkeys in charge. The thoughts of the wasted years I spent there still pisses me off. Whl we had a good bunch of folks at FAD and everyone knew no crap would be tolerated by the mods there. ![]() |

Can someone remind me as to what the topic here is in the HPF2 section?
----------------------------------------Seen so much, that WCG's HPF2 is unique. There is an explanatory page under the Research section. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/project...Hpf2Faq.do?shortName=hpf2 ciao

I had crushed at FIND-A-DRUG until its end last year. That was a great place and a really interesting project. After its end i had changed to WCG and here i am until now.
----------------------------------------Oh, about grid.org it was really true, i started to crush there but i was tired couse they never give us updates, we only saw infos about 2004, and i felt that we were in a loop, we were crushing and crushing and the work never ended. One day i left grid and joined FAD, that my hole team moved too to FAD. When FAD finished we all moved to here again. GRID now is only FULL of ghosts and many poor people that installed the program and trust them so they didnt read the forum to see what was really happening there. ![]() |
