That's yesterday's results for a system with 2x AMD Opteron 275 (dual core - 4 logical CPUs).

Mind you, the server is not dedicated to crunching, and does serve other purposes.

Woah! The best I've done with a 4200+ dual core is 1119 points. All the bench marks I've seen though put the amd 2x2's at an overall performance level slightly below the Intel 6700.

How is your power consumption? You must have at least a 500watt power supply.

It's an IBM eServer BladeCenter LS20. The chassis has 2x 2000W power supplies.

This particular blade server has 220W of power assigned to it. Keep in mind there's no graphics on this server at all, just ram, disk and cpu.

Re: Best cruncher in your fleet??

I would love to crunch with a machine like that. Guess I'll have to suffer with my new mac pro (quad). Just waiting for the 2nd gb of ram to come in before I can hook it up.

Those are some impressive machines.
I'll just have to make do using 40 or so of these old P4-1.8Ghz/512MB machines...
