I've made it through 24 hours of up time on my PC and consequently the MOT website. This improvement is all down to this new bit of Kit I got for my birthday, yes I'm even older today apparently life begins for me next year.
---------------------------------------- This tiny box does everything including polishing your shoes ready for a Monday morning  Gone is the dodgily drivered usb adsl modem and in with a adsl router with hardware firewall supporting 802.11b/g wireless connectivity and a 4 port 10/100 switch. It's fantastic and it's got flashing LED's  which make everything worthwhile  I've PHP'ed and MySQL'ed the server this weekend (LOL- it's just my dodgy number crunching device running XP) so get ready for yet more stats! Just got to read that "Dummies Guide"! Lots of good news coming our way over the next few days starting with breaking the 3,000,000 points milestone tonight so lots of whoo hoos are to be expected. That should keep us all smiling through the early part of next week. Thanks to everyone for sticking with MOT and keeping those CPU's glowing and fans blowing for WCG. If there are any potential new members out there still reading this far down this unbelievable thread be reassured that there is still plenty of room left on the good ship MOT we have only just cast off on this journey............. A note of caution - you should be warned that crunching for WCG is addictive; there's obviously no hope for me  Dave  . |
