Re: Join SeriousCrunchers - help us get our Second 1,000,000 points!

Sport - I have never understood the urge to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I'd rather glide one down than leave it unless it's on fire or coming apart. nerd You doing the jumping and I'll stay safely at the controls cool

Oneguy - Our little blow turned out to be an F-2, which is really rare for this state. beat up

Most of my jumps were out of gutted C182's....that weren't completely good aircraft!!...after the shake ...rattle ...and groan .....you really didn't want to ride it back down ( the down ride would have been worse than the up ride!!!)

Re: Join SeriousCrunchers - more free ice tea

It's my time for tornadoes watches tonight. We really needed the rain, so not complaining, as we are getting a steady rainfall. Apparently it was a slow news day, as one weather story on the TV essentially said:

"President Bush was not harmed by a potential non-tornado that did not touch down, but may have been near his Crawford ranch. He was taken in an armored vehicle to a nearby storm shelter where he waited, although he never even got out of the car."

It was about as exciting as the Non-news story earlier this week about how a plane carrying Prime Minister Blair in the US taxied outside of the lit area of the taxiway due to poor lighting and construction, and then returned to the terminal without incident. The way they headlined the story, you'd have thought they crash landed!

biggrin biggrin biggrin
