....... I have come to the conclusion that the HDC work is just too intrusive on resources, and have now had the boinc software lock up my computers several times. So I've uninstalled all WCG software. Since I really don't have any interest in running other problem sets other than cancer, I might migrate those machines back to the old place and support Serious Crunchers there.  GP: I sure wish you weren't so "girly".  (ducks for cover)I feel your pain LH; HDC has hung-up on me;over the past week; for hours before I caught it and had to dump 12-16 hours of clocktime {sometimes on multiple machines at the same time}..just because they froze .... Roy...GP I hate to say this but Virgil took the "pink" solely on Pending units ...his new machine has been in the shop for 4 days now .....he's not doing any current crunching!!!! Joe !!! Comeon in the waters fine...{@ Ghosteies House} sorry to keep editing ....but BC has me handcuffed to the 'puter lab.....better than double posting isn't it ?!?!? ....Anyway where is "Cluster" hanging out ...I miss his wit!!! Well golly gee, do I see a piece of bright red cherry pie with my name on it.
---------------------------------------- Call it a case of delayed credit, but somehow I collected 9 1/2 days of run time yesterday, with only 6 processors running.  Kinda makes up for the 3 1/2 days they put out yesterday.Don't care, going to enjoy my red pie while I can.  Would rather have the projects completed and lives saved, but everyday we move closer.  One result or a thousand, everyone helps. |
