BOINC will keep the workunits currently downloaded on your machine associated with the application version that was current at the time they were downloaded. New workunits downloaded will be associated with the new version.
The science work being done is correct in both version - however - there is a some changes that should reduce error conditions. Aborting the WU is fine if you want becuase the work will be immediately re-issued to someone else with the new app version. Allowing the work to complete with the existing app version is fine as well. However, there is a higher chance of the workunit erroring out. Kevin |

Okay, thanks again. Have annulled the once of 5.06 where in the Result Status pages, there were no successful returns visible, so they can be re-issued with the 5.07 science link....why waste time crunching something if it can be done with less error risk. Have hit the update key to communicate these cancellation. Please reset my account, should you see this condition where i wont be issued more than 2 for the next 24 hours...current average is > per day.

OK, cowboy Sek, now you have your boots on and your 6 shooter loaded! Let's go knock off some HPF2 units. Say... does your hoss like spaghetti? Mine does, al dente of course.

interresting this Al Dente.....not easily translated.....lest you like toothy or chewy pasta....
----------------------------------------Fired 4 rounds, bullseye, then one that ran to 80% exact, sat, and in fact utterly disappeared from the Taskmanager, nothing at all happening or messaging....suspended it which fired round 6....happily still on its arc. I'll restart #5 later to see if it shows up again or needs to be send to never never land. # 00087 has already been successfully processed and put in pending validation by a fellow cruncher, thus confident it works out fine. Never had a midrif crash lest it was my own doing or an exterior to UD/BOINC system interjection (hindsight). 06-06-29 10:02:58|World Community Grid|Pausing task za071_00087_0 (removed from memory) 06-06-29 10:03:00|World Community Grid|Starting task za071_00722_1 using hpf2 version 507 06-06-29 10:03:22|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi 06-06-29 10:03:22|World Community Grid|Reason: Requested by user 06-06-29 10:03:22|World Community Grid|Reporting 1 tasks 06-06-29 10:03:27|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded
