Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

Today the World Community Grid has completed 50,000 years of crunching shock

Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) 50,001:314:19:43:38

Just 647 days after the launch of the project

~ 1 year every 18 minutes 38 seconds since 16th November 2004

(our run rate yesterday was 1 years worth of crunching every 13 mins 15 seconds)

Yor PC's contribution can (and will) make a difference

Dave

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

Morning from the UK aynfong

All bar an Intel Mobile chip in a laptop all Socket A and crunching away at this end

Seems my postponement of buying into socket AM2 is paying dividends CPU prices down about £100 per chip in the last week!

My nForce2 Mobo is still in there fighting

I can't wait to go Dual core wink

Hoping to get hold of one of those 35W TDP 3800+ dual cores for the maximum Gflops/watt

Great numbers you are putting in what are you running down under?

Dave

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

hi Dave

Just back from work.

Currently running two Pentium D PCs, one Xeon server
and a Pentium 4 PC running BOINC at 100% on all cores.

I'm still thinking about upgrading the P4 to core 2 when the price settle down.
I play 3D games so I upgrade PC very often

God bless

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

hi Dave

How many PCs are u running? It seems u have similar point as me
I guess AMD can get more points

I want to see the coming electricity bills, if it is bad, then i need to take out 1-2 PCs. I'm currently running 4 PCs 24/7 at the moment

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

The leccy bill is biting this end too

I have 4 AMD machines running the equivalent of a 11800+ (old AMD 32bit socket A style) My Laptop is a Pentium M 1.7 Ghz these are all running BOINC. The last machine in my number crunching arsenal is a new 3Ghz server that I'm using to host myonlineworship.org and wcgwiki.org (to name but a few) this is running the throttled UD Client and is one of only 2 machines I have that will, on account of the Memory reqs, crunch the Help Defeat Cancer project.

I confess I'm a crunching addict

My two daughters also run the WCG on their 3000+'s upstairs

My advice would be to run while you still have the chance wink
