I have connected only to one project in Boinc and that is the FAAH project. I have decided to devote the processing power eclusively to the FAAH project and no other for the moment. I have a double core processor and effectively I have activated two units in my device profile and I get two work units in parallel that are processed. All fine.
At the beginning I got two FAAH work units as expected. But later on I started getting some Rosetta project work units, that is one FAAH and one rosetta in parallel. Why am I getting work units of a project I have not requested to join. Thanks for any help. Gold |

Fabio,
You have customized your 'Default' profile for your United Device computers. However, the 'Default' profile for BOINC is an entirely different profile. As such the settings you set for United Devices devices does not apply to your BOINC devices. You can set which projects you want to recieve work for (and have it apply to your BOINC devices) by visiting the 'My Projects' page at: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProjects.do Kevin |

This must be a new option. You didn't used to be able to set the individual worldcommunitygrid projects for BOINC, but just had to run worldcommunitygrid as a whole --- whatever they threw at you. Putting the word "BOINC" in here somewhere might be helpful:
----------------------------------------My Projects Here you can select which projects you'd like your computer to work on. This will set the preference for all of the computers that you currently have. If you are running the United Devices agent you may change the settings on a device by device basis by going to the Device Manager and customizing your device profiles. Available Projects Participate in All Projects FightAIDS@Home Human Proteome Folding Changes will not take effect until the next time that your grid agent communicates with the servers (when the current Work Unit is finished processing)
