I've used KBoincSpy with Seti and Einstein. It works pretty well and gives extra Info for those to projects.
I don't run WCG under linux at the moment but I imagine it handles it much the same as Boinc Manager does. Packages are available for all the major Distributions, which is handy if compiling from source you have to do:
to tell it where your KDE is installed and install it there. |

hmm, gave it a go, seems to be of modest interest, took a while for me to get it setup, all those things they dont tell u in the setup instructions, hurumph, i think they assume that u know a bit about linux, anyway go it going , gives a few more details but hardly seems worth the bother.
an interesting exercise though, helps me to learn a bit more about linux more thananything else.. so far i see mothing much worthwhile to recomend it, ( having looked at it for a total of 5 minutes after a 15 min install fiddle) |

From the screenshots, I don't think it gives much more information than can be found with a quick glance through the configuration and state files. May be worthwhile if you're running SETI, but probably not.

I had contributed some bug fixes to the KSetiWatch (http://ksetiwatch.sourceforge.net/) project a while ago (2004). KSetiWatch made SETI on Linux very interesting...and it had the eye candy thing going for it as well.
----------------------------------------This looks very interesting. I'll have to check it out. Maybe we can contribute to it to add support for World Community Grid. It would be very, very low on our priority list as this year is already packed with stuff to do...but you never know.

Hi all, I downloaded and compiled the SVN version of KBoincSpy yesterday (0.9.2CVS). The WCG support is far better than in the download version (0.9.1) and also Boinc Manager 5.2.x (haven't upgraded to latest boinc yet).
couple of minor niggles - the graph text (not graphics/screensaver - no support for that) for faah units is unreadable at 1024x 768, for example. Otherwise a major improvement and well worth checking out. :) |
