You may have just been unlucky.
At certain times, the website is unavailable for updates and maintenance. So, try again. If the problem persists, I'm sure the techs will look into it for you. |

Your action has resulted in an error. can somebody help me? i use the boinc manager 5.2.13 thank u Diclo, We apologize for the problem. This is being caused becuase we are attempting to convert the '<disk_max_used_gb>2,5</disk_max_used_gb>' field in your global preferences that you set over at Seti. Unfortunately, our system isn't liking the comma and is expecting a period. We will fix this so that when it inteprets floating point numbers it does so correctly for your locale. However, that will be a week or two before we can get that fixed. In the meantime, if you go back over to Seti and use something like '2' for the max disk used field and then update one of our you agents for Seti and then update for World Community Grid and you will be able to access that part of our site. Again - we apologize for this bug and thank you for pointing it out. Kevin |

Locale?
Someone should tell the BOINC guys about XML Schema Datatypes. I'm sick to here (*indicates somewhere above neck height*) with stupid, random data types for simple things like numbers, and complicated things like dates. There's a standard already! Please use it. *begs* |

I just looked at the current BOINC development site at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php?dev=1 and saw that 5.4.7 had just replaced 5.4.6. Here is what it said: Changes since 5.4.6 * Use the correct localized formatting for dates, time, and numerical values when displaying messages. So the developers seem to have jumped on this localization issue very quickly. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 29, 2006 10:01:09 PM] |
