Looks like they won't be needing the Xylophone for the ads anymore wink

AMD are on a roll this week with a new Dual Core low power Turion Chipset to rival ViiV

How much longer before the Mac has AMD inside laughing

Re: Latest Info on AMD's AM2 Processor launch

Hi GEORGE

My last Pentium was a P111 733Mhz with a 133Mhz FSB.

Intel kept us away that long down to fear of the unknown.

AMD's 64 Bit strategy turned out to be the right one. They now seem to have it all right from the still available Duron for next to nothing through to rocket powered. Now they are taking the MP Server Space. They've been doing more in one clock cycle for some time now. The last time Intel lead AMD was just before the 1Ghz barrier. In all of this they still do VFM and I'm waiting until the environmentally friendly 35W 3800+'s come out before upgrading from Socket A 3200+ which has been superb.

Next time you see Schumacher take the chequered flag (again) take a look at those rear wing end plates wink

Here's a link biggrin
