Dialog boxes with no text

I think I got installed OK, but several dialog boxes come up with no text. Windows XP/SP2 on a Dell Precision 220.

"Can't see any text when starting agent" has several people noting this bug.
I postred here beefore spotting that thread, but maybe it'll come to the attention of "the powers that be" in here?

Hey, I was having the same problem. It would pop up a box with no text and a blank button. Then some text would be mission once you get past that and it would not work at all. It would work fine in safe mode but not in normal mode. What I did to fix it was set up compatibility mode to Windows 2000. Right click on the icon of the executable and go to properties. Then click on the Compatibility tab and set it to Windows 2000. Hopefully it will work for you too! -Johnathan

I do have to applaud your use of the search function. I'm sure that's the only way you found a post from way back in November.
