Wierd thoughts of a senile old fart on a Friday evening.....

Reading through some other threads in the forums got my mind wondering about whether you have the BOINC Manager running in the system tray, the task bar or as a minimized/maximized window matters. There's no whoop-de-doo whiz-bang graphics that need a lot of computations and thus CPU cycles but it is updating text on a regular basis. Does anyone know if that could amount to anything of consequence?

Hi keithhenry,
No, some of the background OS processes are more computationally intensive. On a modern PC, that all leaves 99% for your distributed computer client (except for anti-virus and other security programs. They can take up as much as the entire OS, easily.)
