Hello !
I'm a new member and I'd like to know if I can restart Windows (XP2), for example for a security update, without having to start the primary task of "World community grid" again. Thank you in advance ! |

Hi Duanra
----------------------------------------I've had no problems restarting due to updates. The one thing you can do is to right click on the WCG icon in the system tray and left click exit then re-start your computer, You will at most lose a tiny percentage as WCG will restart from a check point. This has also been the case when I had a power cut and the p.c just went off. When I re-started it just lost a couple of percent and it carried on. I'ts always best to shut down WCG correctly wherever you can though. Hope this helps Online Gamer |

Just to confirm what Online Gamer said, if everything went well during your original install, then the WCG programs will start automatically. If they don't, please post here and we will try to help.
----------------------------------------Regards and thanks for contribution to this great cause! |
