Results

According to the 'my grid' page I have done 9 results, but when I go to my statistics it only shows 8 why? I understand the result which reported today but it does not show the result reported on the 21st even though it is shown in the graphs for results. Is there a glitch in the system?

Re: Results

Hi madmac,
BOINC statistics confuse me too. Here is a post by knreed at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=5197#41113 where he says it took him 30 minutes to realize what was going on. Until BOINC is completely implemented, we are going to have sections that show results returned and others that show results validated. I hope that that is what is causing your problem.

But I am not sure.

madmac,

I looked at the system and I see that you have been credited with 10 results and that your daily history shows the following:

12/24/2005 1
12/20/2005 1
12/19/2005 1
12/18/2005 1
12/17/2005 1
12/16/2005 1
12/13/2005 2
12/12/2005 1
12/09/2005 1

Which adds up to 10. I looked into the BOINC system and I see that you have 2 additional results that are waiting to be validated.

Please note that the day that you are credited with a result is the day that the result was validated - not the day that you returned the result. Pleae read here for more info: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=linpointscalc

Everything I see looks good. Can you double check the page and clear out your browser cache to make sure that it wasn't showing the page from a time when you previously viewed that page?

thanks,
Kevin

Re: Results

Thank you knreed, however I have a question to ask about results. Is it possible to have a page where results are shown with credits and those waiting for validating? What I am after is like Seti, where you go into your account click on results and the last forty or dixty WU are shown. These Wu are either waiting to be done, waiting to be credited or credited. It will be helpful if it is possible.

Re: Results

madmac,

The page you are requesting is currently in development. It'll probably be a little while longer due to the holidays and all, but it's coming.

Re: Results

Hi madmac,
I will expand on nelsoc's explanation. The basic BOINC system is built on a different database than we are using. We cannot just copy the code. We have to translate it to work with our system. We have done enough to run the project but it will take time to implement the full BOINC system statistics package. It is coming, but we have to concentrate on problems that interfere with running projects and spend whatever time that leaves to finishing the implementation of BOINC on our servers.
