Hello Gort,
BOINC was only running HPF until we finally activated FAAH for it. But this means that, whatever you saw in your profile, we had not really activated the multi-project code on the server for BOINC. So you were really running all projects (even though there was only one). When we finally started running multiple projects, we activated the multi-project code. You can now select a specific project for BOINC. As far as I know, this will happen again whenever the project you have selected closes down or when a new project is activated. mycrofth |

This morning one pc is running HPF again. The other seems to be finishing a very long faah job. When it is done, can I expect the next job to be HPF, or is there something else I must do? The thread on the cancer project is vague about a date for a linux client. Any idea if it is close to release? I will switch to it as soon as its available. |

We apologize for the confusion. However due to the way that the BOINC integration and system works we were unable to export your existing preferences to BOINC. In order for BOINC (aka the Linux agent) to utilize the preferences you have set on the My Projects page, you will need to go to the My Projects page and resave your preferences. Once you have done this then all future work will only be for the project you have selected.
In answer to your immediate question. You stated that you have now gone in and re-saved your project preferences. As such, all future work you receive from the server will only be for the project you selected. Kevin |

Thank you. I guess it's redundant, but I did this from each machine now.
Since, I'm happy to just let these boxes perk along, quietly computing, I don't check the forums much. Where should I look to see when the linux cancer project comes online? Is there a way to get email notification? |
