my cpid matches on the other 13 projects i'm part of , but yours doesnt match. Morgan, Can you do the following to make sure that you have given your CPID a chance to sync up? 1) Make sure that you have a device that is connected to both World Community Grid and another project. 2) Use the 'Update' feature from project tab to update World Community Grid. 3) Next use the 'Update' feature from the project tab to update the other project. 4) Use the 'Update' feature from the project tab to update World Community Grid. We did implement the mechanism to ensure that the CPID would be updated properly on World Community Grid for users who already participated in other projects so I expect that what I mention above will bring them into sync. If this works, then please post here letting everyone know. If doesn't you can still post here, but please also use the contact us feature to send us an email that lists the steps you took at the CPID from your other projects. thanks, Kevin |

Can I add my name in support of Nasher, many Boinc'ers like to display their Team positions and will not join WCG as it does not add to the TEAM total.! I cannot promise you when this will be implemented but we have gotten the message that it is important. The reason that this is not something that we can just activate like other BOINC projects is becuase the database that backups up the website is a different database then the database the backups up the BOINC functionality. As a result the team information that is maintained in website database is not linked with the team information in the BOINC database and so we would need to do some integration work to have this work properly (in order to get the system to work we did the integration work for users and devices). One option we have is that we could just export the data out of the website database although I will have to take a good look at how we would implement the recent average credit and take other steps to ensure that the data we export is the same as the data that would be generated by the BOINC export funcitons. The other downside of doing this is that team stats would not show up in the device manager. The upside is that it would be a lot less work and therefore more likely to be implement in the near future. Kevin |

As it turns out BOINC actually features two CPIDs: One internal and one external. The external one is the one we use in the stats and is the one that is exported to the XMLs. The internal one I don't know what is used for - but it was the internal CPID climate displayed on the account pages. Maybe that's the case here as well.. |

And yes - I look forward to the ever increasing power that we can tap into as part of the BOINC community. Kevin |

Morgan,
Can you use the contact us feature to let me know what CPID and Authenticator you are seeing listed on your profile screen and what URL you are seeing it at? I looked on the database and your CPID is the one with the bebada0 suffix (note that it is a zero not a 'o' at the end) so I am not sure why you are seeing something different. Kevin |

Kevin yes the bebada0 is the one i see on my details page but the cpid# i see at the other 12 projects is cfeeb710fed73503378ccc1a51cf1023 Bruno mentioned that there are two cpid#s .internal and external. i dunno, my problem IS fixed, my stats for wcg sync with all other boinc projects @ boincsynergy and boincstats. |
