I often capture films from tape with Pinnacle. With the agent running i had some bad parts in the resulting file. Is it possible to increase the sooze time to be able to set it to more than 120 minutes?

That is the maximum that the program will allow. I seriously doubt that the support team would consider this a needed change. You might try switching to "Run only as Screen Saver" and set your desktop properties to a larger value when you are doing your capture.

Mr. Bell has a good idea there.
----------------------------------------I have seen those movie captures. The slightest interruption and things get messed up. Another way to solve it would be to stop the agent just before you start the "Capture" portion. Assuming you are using the UD agent, just right-click on the little WCG icon in the lower right of the screen and click close. After the movie capture is done, restart it. I doubt that the WCG could cause any problems during phase 2 and 3 (Processing and Writing the DVD) because these are not time critical. Actually, I am wondering if the WCG can play a significant roll even in the first phase, since its priority is so low. Although it does take some memory space that Pinnacle might use for caching.... but I digress... So, once the capture is done, you can restart the agent using the start menu. Hi piero.magnani,
Like everybody else, I recommend using Exit if the World Community Grid Agent seems to interfere with the timing of another program. If you do this regularly, you might want to add the WCG shortcut to your desktop for speed. You can always click Start - Programs - World Community Grid - World Community Grid Agent to restart it, or instead right-click on the World Community Grid Agent , select Copy, and then right-click on the desktop and select Paste Shortcut. This will give you an easy one-click icon to restart the WCG Agent after you are through processing the movie. |

----------------------------------------It is a bit like starting to sit down in a chair but someone pulling the chair out from under you at the last second. I will fix it. |
