I have noticed that since the FightAIDS project has started, the memory usage while WCG is running has increased and my computer has slowed down when any other programs are running. Today, stopping WCG showed a drop in memory usage of about 250MB, as reported by Task Manager.
Any ideas on what is causing the high memory usage? |

The memory use of FAAH client has increased to about 300Mb instead of the approx 200Mb used by the HPF client. This is not a significant increase unless you have limited amount of real memory.
A small amount of real memory would mean that you are using the virtual memory (swap file) which will slow things down. The minimum system specifications have also changed for the FAAH client. Please check http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq |
