When I found out the 256MB ram on my pc was not really enough to run FA@H, I bought the cheapest thing I could find (32 MB more ram) and stuck it in the second slot inside the computer.
Well at least the machine is doing it now ![]() |

You should have bought 256MB of ram to run this project without interfering with other system operations...

I guess it depends on how deep your purse is. You get what you pay for if you are careful. I am partial to Crucial RAM. Not their hyped Ballistix, but their regular RAM. It is a bargain as far as name-brand Ram goes, and it is reliable. Corsair, Mushkin, Kingston and the other good ones and are fine,
but for the money I go with Crucial. I have never been disappointed. Put a stick of it in and you are good for life. They have a discount going thru the end of the year and...if you are a new customer enter BBUSERGROUP in the coupon code and get another 5% off. |

Well at least the machine is doing it now ![]() Less than 256MB ram can still be OK if you run Boinc agent under Linux. Please see the last five discussions in the thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=4282. Happy crunching! ![]() |
