Guess everyone is trying to get the last couple beach trips in before the unoffical end of summer in a week. Doin' fine thanks.  I don't really go to the beach anymore. When I do, people try to push me back into the water. They keep saying something about saving my life.  I'm looking forward to the end of summer. I get rather tired of heat indexes of over 100F. -J |

In the Movie, For the Bible Tells Me So the author presents substative correlation coefficients for birth order and other dispositions that influence gender preference. Some of the computational chemistry that could be done in the WCG, may be able to evaluate some of these effects. Is this Team actively working on encouraging any scientists to work on this subject? I was trying to ask a question without making a suggestion (If I were a chemist or biologist, then I may be in a better postion to make a suggestion). The question is not intended to be bate, misdirection, or annoying. I looked on the net and found little that I could fathom (I am a Electrical Engineer and computational chemistry is a mystery). So, I am asking this Team, as I hope someone may be knowlegable in the matter and may comment. The WCG seems like a great tool for computational chemistry (it seems to be calculating the HIV chemistry right now). The WCG could be applied to computational chemistry for gender preference and gender attraction in the biochemistry that occurs prior to birth. I was asking if this Team has been working to encourage any scientists to study this subject. There is a great amount of knowledge to be searched for in this matter. Is WCG a potential tool for researching this matter of The Creation? May God grant us knowledge in this matter of The Creation. -- Clay Chip Smith |

What is yours and your religions stance on gays? |

I don`t get him, why ask Gay people about a position toward the gender of babies ? Not that there aren`t gay parents but it is less likely given their sexuality !
Did I say Trouble with a capital "T" ? He has deliberately sought out THIS thread for the post.....Ask why ? |

I asked one scholar "What [if anything] may Muslims make an oath upon or to?" and his answer was "only by God may a Muslim make an oath". I didn not ask him if this opinion was by all four schools of thought or by analogy (parallal). Therefore, I can not definitely say that a Muslim is not permitted to make an oath to the Quran. However, I have one fatwa [ruling] from a scholar that I respect saying it is not permitted to oath to the Quran. So, I will not make a oath to the Quran. However, I am fine with making an oath to God and here it is: "By God, I am asking the question if anyone in this Team has encouraged scientists to do research if the WCG is suitable to do computational chemistry or biochemistry computations or other computations that explore the matter of gender preference or gender attraction not for the purpose of persecution of the Gay community or any member of the Gay community". What is yours and your religions stance on gays? I have not studied the subject of gender perference and gender attraction from the pespective of religion to a sufficient degree to have a more than arbitary opinion in the matter. Therefor, I will not answer this question at this time. Likewise, without confirmation by the leaders of this thread that this question is suitable for this thread, I will not answer. In that case then what would be the reason for the research? It would obviously be a total was of time and resources to carry out research without a purpose?

BTW, I am worried that your questions are outside the scope of this Team thread. My question was very specific to this Team and its Team thread -- if anyone in this Team was working on this matter. I think I am imposing quite enough on this Team thread with my one question. Please do not ask me to broaded my discussion with this Team without the permission of the leaders of this Team thread. No there would be no purpose unless you had an motive for wanting to alter an individual's chemistry.
