Back in the summer when version 8.2.4 came out we also got messages about configuring podman/docker/wsl for some packages that might use Linux. I performed the steps they linked to. My questions are, 1. Do we need to have the Podman desktop software installed or do we just need wsl pointing to the buda runner wsl package? 2. Is there a CLI where we can monitor the Linux workload? 3. Does BOINC's GUI communicate with WSL version at all to show the workload?
Thanks! |

That is just BOINC in Berkley pestering for no reason...Thanks! Ralf |

LHC needs virtualbox, which apparently is incompatible with docker. I tried for days to get WSL and docker working and it never worked right, so I quit trying. Meanwhile LHC@home is happily crunching away with virtualbox.

You dont need anything DOCKER. I already looked around for that kind of work.
After consulting a chatbot there is a alpha project that is for LLM's call LLMentorGrid. But the website isn't even up so its not worth looking at. All you need is Virtualbox if you run LHC. If you don't you don't need it. |
