Finally, for me tongight, contratulations Jurisica and everyone behind the scenes to get this far with such a major migration project. Hopefully the rest of the 'start up' processes go smoothly and the only regret I personally have, is that I didn't download/'fill my buckets to the brim' in order to return more WU's whilst 'the mother ship' was offline.

[The following was correct at the time of posting...]
System - Ubuntu Linux 24.04 with latest OpenSSL and certificates. What I'm about to describe may or may not be happening on non-Linux systems... There is some sort of problem with the certificate chain for worldcommunitygrid.org, which doesn't manifest when accessing the site using Firefox but does show up if using an application to access the APIs. The problem shows up as an SSL error message: certificate verify failed: unable to get local issuer certificate This even happens if using curl to load the WCG home page (I didn't try wget, but I'd expect the outcome to be the same...)I tested the new API using the Swagger UI and it seems to work o.k. -- however, all of my API scripts (old version or new) showed varieties of the above error. I used Firefox to get the complete 3-element certificate chain for WCG and cut out a copy of the middle certificate, which I have temporarily added to the certificate store until this issue is resolved. My API scripts now all work... I am not an expert in the workings of SSL (especially on the server side!) so I don't know what is actually wrong -- I've just done a hack to fix it :-) Cheers - Al. P.S. I gather the BOINC stuff isn't yet "turned on" -- my hack made no difference to the local client's inability to raise the scheduler! |

The announcement was yesterday, I get this still in my BOINC:
----------------------------------------Do 18 Sep 2025 11:42:56 CEST | World Community Grid | update requested by user Doesn't really looks like anything but the Fora are up now. Edith asks: Is there any real date in sight, when the project will really be up? ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Saenger at Sep 18, 2025 9:54:20 AM] |

Same for me.
Maybe everyrhing was UP, but later went down again. Hopefully it won''t take another 2.5 weeks to fix this new downtime.... |

If I remember correctly we've had the transient HTTP error when the system has been busy before. Possibly it's catching-up with the backlog of uploads and downloads and will be OK when it's caught up.
In terms of the migration - OK so it didn't go to plan but it's coming back online and there were updates on https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~juris/jlab/wcg.html which I think are the most important things. The update before the system went down did say that the downtime could be longer than expected. I think the system stability and communication has improved in recent months. |

Anybody else have their account name not showing on the projects tab of BOINC? How about no tasks shown in the tasks tab even though they have pending results to report?
