Change Account Retention policy to exclude deletion of top inactive accounts

Suggestion: Accounts that have ever touched, say top 100 of contributors to World Community Grid, should be exempt from deletion due to inactivity. They deserve permanent recognition! I understand the need to clean house so abandoned account are kept to a minimum but there should be exceptions IMO.

https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/viewPrivacyStatement.do#retention
"Retention
Your personal information will be retained for as long as your account is active. An account is considered inactive when all of the following conditions have been met: (1) the member has not returned a result in the last 36 months; (2) the member has not logged in to the WCG Site in the last 36 months; and (3) none of the member's devices have communicated with World Community Grid servers in the last 36 months. Once an account is deemed inactive, Krembil Research will permanently DELETE that member account and information. Krembil Research will notify a member via email before account deletion.

Krembil Research will retain your other personal information for as long as is required to fulfill the purposes for which the information is processed or for other valid reasons to retain your personal information (for example to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements).

If you wish to permanently delete your account and remove your information from the WCG Site, you may do so here."

Re: Change Account Retention policy to exclude deletion of top inactive accounts

I think you will find that this is not Krembil’s call, it is a requirement under the Data Protection Act.
