What if users who give CPU/GPU time and any donation automatically participates in a lottery with cash prizes. Who pays and where does the money come from? |

What if users who give CPU/GPU time and any donation automatically participates in a lottery with cash prizes. Not interested. Somethings are just done for the good of humanity. Look up the definition of altruism. Cheers

Given that WCG needs donations/funding to keep this going, I don't see how prizes to recruit more people are a plus.
----------------------------------------Step 1 would be to ensure the system can handle the influx and operate without running out of work. The lab has a budget posted on their website with their donation needs, so that will provide good information. Step 2 would then add funds on top of this to implement the promotional giveaways. If you have the resources and would fund this, then reach out to the lab with the offer.
