I was getting fresh MCM WUs earlier, now we are in a resend phase. I've only gotten a few ARP resends.
The flow of WUs is light today. |

The flow of WUs is nonexistent for me at the moment.

Seem to be missing results in my statistics. Thought maybe it would resolve with the latest stats update but nope. There are two separate issues here:
Judging by other statistics I collect, all BOINC functions stopped then (including validation, assimilation, file deletion and purging) -- makes sense if the BOINC database had gone away... As no-one could report results on 2025-06-29 until some time around 20:30 UTC, the fact there was no stats run at midday that day wouldn't matter; fortunately, the midnight stats run did happen so hopefully there will be no further missed results in user statistics (until the next major incident...) Cheers - Al. Thanks. Are you suggesting that they are "lost" forever or that they should have been added on the next run? At the moment they are still missing (while newer completed work been added, as expected). |

It is time to switch to back up projects. Very few WUs are going out. It looks like only resends on MCM and ARP at the moment.
----------------------------------------I continue to check for official updates but nothing yet. My best guess is that we are approaching the "early July" time frame for hardware upgrade, so they want to have the database populated with completed validated WUs, so finish up any WUs you do have and make sure any resends get sent back quickly. edit: now getting fresh MCMs [Edit 1 times, last edit by Unixchick at Jul 1, 2025 2:43:30 PM] |

uglyphilbert,
Standard BOINC doesn't keep much old data; in particular, it doesn't keep a per-day historical record of a user's activity (general, per project or per host...); hence the WCG extra statistics, which have to dig out daily data while it is still visible! So if there's a problem that causes an overnight WCG stats run to be missed, there won't be a final per-user tally for that day. If the mid-day run happens there may be a partial tally... However, BOINC does accumulate total statistics, so the counts at sites like BOINCstats ought to include items that the WCG stats might have missed. Cheers - Al. |

Harking back to Hans Sveen's query about very out-of-sequence MCM1 batches posted on 2025-06-28, that seems to have been an example of "housekeeping", with these WUs having been generated recently.
Batches 235129, 235138, 235144, 235145, 235146 and 235467 to 235473 were missing when their neighbours ran in mid/late April, and I saw work from all of those batches on or around 2025-06-28. I wonder what happened in the first place... Cheers - Al. |

If known, could you also post the "how soon to start" status of the BETA project on the first page of this thread? I know we spoke about something similar a while back but I don't always have the time to do an in-depth search -- a couple days notice of when they plan to start would be ideal. But this thread is one of the first ones I check. Thanks! |

I put a note on the first page about the MAM status. I wish I had some information to give you, bfmorse. We haven't gotten any updates in a while (a month?)

For your convenience, according to WCG's COMMUNITY, GLOBAL, STATISTICS HISTORY: Last BETA Result returned was 05/13/2025- see May 26, 2025, entry in the "Operational Status" tab. Last COVID-19 result returned was 06/24/2024 And I believe there are comments in various message threads explaining the status at various points including the one mentioned above. Thanks for your help! It is appreciated! |
