Re: Why does it keep on resetting itself?I

I have been on WU 21380 since yesterday.

Thx,
dennis

I've got a sub directory in my WorldCommunityGrid program folder that is labeled 21380. Doesn't seem likely that more than one device is working on the same WU => what is indicating to you that you're working on WU 21380?

Thanks

The subdirectories for everyone are the same based on the UD executable revision.
The actual WU data is assigned a Protein DataBank ID number (.pdb) temporarily and sent back to the server. Open the folder and you will see the .pdb file.

PDB files are utilised at www.pdb.org which catalogues protein structures. These can be viewed with a freeware program called Deepview. However, rosetta only generates PDB data once the WU is complete and immediately sends this back to the server - therefore the data is inaccesible to deepview.

Re: Why does it keep on resetting itself?I

I've been receiving "Unable to connect to grid" error since Saturday. So tonight I did a standard uninstall without removing the directories.
I redownloaded the executable and reinstalled. So far it's been working on a WU for 17 minutes.

<fingers crossed>

Re: Why does it keep on resetting itself?I

While these work units are normal, we've identified a bug in the application where the results computed thus far are not being sent back to the server and thus no points are awarded or your total CPU time incremented.

I have fixed the bug and it is currently in testing. Barring any issues, we plan on deploying it some time on Friday (26 Nov). Your agent will automatically download the updated code when it communicates with the server.

Re: Why does it keep on resetting itself?I

The problem with agents abnormally ending work on a small set of work units without crediting your scores has been fixed. The software will automatically update itself the next time your agent communicates with the server. Thank you very much to all of the members that responded about this problem and thus let us get enough clues to isolate, reproduce, and fix it.
