Since I downloaded BOINC 5.2.7 I have Firstaid@home running, it seems fine, 74% at 14:30. The problem is my BOINC mgr. with Seti@home, Einstien and WCG seem to have frozen. Seti has been uploading a finished WU now for about 2:30 (usually takes 30 seconds) WCG has hung at 53% at 1:30 for the last 6:00. I have rebooted, shut down, and restarted, disabled Norton firewall. I an at a loss as to what I should do next.

A couple of questions
1) Are you running the windows United Devices agent and BOINC? 2) Are you generally familiar with BOINC and the fact that it swaps between different projects periodicially? It only runs one project at a time and periodically will swap them in and out of memory. Kevin |

It only runs one project at a time and periodically will swap them in and out of memory. Kevin Yes to your first question, and No I didn't know that BOINC would swap between projects. I did shutdown the computer and started all projects up again, and it seems that they are all working fine now, similtaniously I might add. (United Devices and BOINC) It has been running for 24hrs. so far. I am not really sure what changed to get everything running again, this windows OS seems a little strange how it functions. |
