Memory usage of new project

Just noticed that a few hours ago my computer started working on the new project and first thing I noticed was the huge memory usage difference between WCGrid_AutoDock.exe and the WCGrid_Rosetta.exe.

Rosetta used 25MB/200MB swap
AutoDock uses 97MB/310MB swap

Is this normal ????

Re: Memory usage of new project

That is why we have a larger minimum system requirement for FightAIDS@home. Over the next weeks, we will be looking at the code more to see what might be done to reduce this, but cannot promise that we will find a solution.

Re: Memory usage of new project

Viktors,
I'm seeing the same memory usage increases on all of my rigs. The 2 Quads and the Dual the usage is up about 3x, and CPU uasge has remained the same. Pity that it still only uses 1 of the CPU's. My LP is rated at the new minimum system requirements, and memory usage was up 3x, I increased the swapfile size and have what looks like better performance. I'll keep some stats and post them if you'd like.

Thanks for all you great support,

Rick

here's hoping - many of my rigs just scrape this new projects 250meg amount, and some won't be able to run it.

Good luck guys wink
