Reading this makes it seem like everything is working. I just noticed I have no tasks being worked on. Are things working correctly? Not really, no. Whilst I now have WUs to crunch - I don't have many in the well. Typically around 300, currently 84. The Validator doesn't appear to be working either.  |

It is working, but only partly (for a very small part) and lagging behind at least one day at the moment, and there is a very good reason why it is only partly doing its valuable work on the back-burner. Hint: see thread 46180. So, just be patient.

If I saw correctly, the last official input from the WCG itself in that thread is from january. I wonder in what timescale patience needs to be. Do we count in months?

Well, for what it's worth, the number of accumulated validated WUs seems to slowly decreasing. For me, it has dropped now below 60,000 and the oldest WUs have been moved up to 2023-11-11, so there are at this point only a bit less than 4 months to go. And at the current pace, we should be back to a "normal" level (what ever this means with WCG these days) by early May, so maybe I get this as a birthday present...  Ralf |
