The results query must have presented a partial result. I have over 180,000 valid WUs in a query this morning. Is there an estimate on when these WUs will be processed? This morning, I noticed that the overall number of WUs in the Results page is (VEERRYY) slowly decreasing, at about a ratio of 3 WUs purged for every 2 new ones downloaded... It seems there is finally light at the end of the tunnel, far, far away.... Ralf |

The results query must have presented a partial result. I have over 180,000 valid WUs in a query this morning. Is there an estimate on when these WUs will be processed? Processing seems to have started -- I first detected evidence of WUs passing through the assimilator and file deletion processes at about 11:50 (UTC) on 2023-01-04. It appears that tasks marked for purging are being removed from the database about 24 hours later, and by 02:00 UTC on 2023-01-06 nearly 600 of my results had vanished from the database[*1]. Given my tally of tasks still waiting for assimilation, it could take a couple of weeks for my backlog to be completely cleared at the current rate of progress. At least it is clearing them a lot faster than I'm returning new results :-) Cheers - Al. *1 I am using a script and the [old] WCG API to monitor when results move from initial validation to a state where the WU can be purged. |

Al, I just checked a results query with a filter on valid. I am down to 166904. I will check later today to get a rate of clearing. /l

For me, valid results have now purged to the end of October. Seems to be happening bit by bit.
Also finding it much easier to get work now. The global statistics are showing a jump in results returned. |

My oldest validation remaining is from 00:12 on 31 October UTC, so moved on a week.

Yes, I see some purging movement. My valids have gone from 27000 to 26000.

Yes, I see some purging movement. My valids have gone from 27000 to 26000. Seems good times are over and that purging script has stopped.Cheers After having gone down from the 46,000s down to the 41,000s, it has in the last day gone up for me to 42,600 again... Ralf |

Purging stopped again. Nothing purged from my results in more than 24 hours.

[I just posted this in the MCM1 forum, but I'll repeat it here...]
The assimilator(s) appeared to stop working early in the afternoon (UTC) of 2024-01-05, so by about the same time on 2024-01-06 there was nothing left to purge and counts started rising again... For the evidence for that statement, and a bit of discussion about collecting relevant data as end users, see some posts in the current Project Status thread in the Chat room... Cheers - Al. |
