Hm, could I connect to the WCG with the normal Windows BOINC client using the account key and the http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org as project URL ? Yes |

I see, ok if this <userid> = account number (mine is 120750 ) then I'm not in the stats at all. How come ?  I have gotten credit already over 24 hours ago, now I have 1121 points. No wonder if I can't get it to work if  I'm not in the stats at all... |

You need to upgrade your BOINC to at least version 5.2.4. We are utilizing https for all communications and file transfers between the client and our servers. BOINC did not support ssl before version 5.2.4. The error you are getting occurs when a older client attempts to use SSL. Kevin |

I'm using BOINC 4.45 since the 5.* versions doesn't
support the optimized setiathome_4.11_windows_intelx86.exe client. At least I haven't being able to make it work, I just get client errors. :o/ But it doesn't matter really, I have used your WorldCommunityGridAgent.exe that I have downloaded here at your site: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/viewDownloadWin.do and that will do, until the 5.* versions support the optimized Seti clients. The big problem is that I'm not registering in the XML stats, that shouldn't matter what client you use. Perhaps the problem above that you said affected 14 computers also affected this. Could you pleaaaaaase check this why the XML stats disregards my account ? I have a lot of credit already, but without any means to add it to my sig, it's irrelevant and I'm not going to crunch a WCG Unit before this is fixed. Here I can take a print screen of both the account profile and the stats pages. It should show you what you need to know to error search the problem.    |

Those XML stats that are being exported are the ones that are part of the BOINC package. They only include points earned by BOINC devices. The points included in the export are also the 'native' credit that BOINC uses. This is different then the points that you will see on our website. We plan to have XML stats available for your overall stats eventually but they do not currently exist. However, there are some enterprising folks who are doing screen scraping of our pages that generate images that many members use. Everyone - can you point Crystallize to some of the stats images that exist for World Community Grid? thanks, Kevin |

We plan to have XML stats available for your overall stats eventually but they do not currently exist. I see, well, that answered my question anyway. Then I'm leaving this project until then ......... bye !  (And no I'm not interested in other stats sigs.) |
