Latest attempt
But what is weird is the file size is off. Shows 5.47/5.37 KB
How can the upload size exceed the physical file size?
I'm about ready to kill this task.
If it does not upload tonight then it will be close to 48 hrs that it has been trying to upload by 0800 CET

And now this one just did the same thing:

7/27/2023 7:43:43 PM | World Community Grid | Computation for task SCC1_0004163_MyoD1-B_7164_0 finished
7/27/2023 7:43:43 PM | World Community Grid | Starting task SCC1_0004155_MyoD1-B_7396_0

Size 5.67/5.57

Where would the file data be stored for completed tasks? I looked at properties and there is no assigned slot anymore. So where does the completed data go?

Re: Task upload stuck for over 12 hrs

This is weird, after another project did an update and loaded in preferences again, the second file upload. The first file is still stuck.

Because the difference, exactly 107 bytes, is the error message returned from the server when trying to upload those files. This is all old news, as that is exactly what happened when we had all those upload errors starting a year ago.

Some thing just never change... sad

The result files end up in the project directory. Files in the active slots directory may be genuine files (in which case they get copied across at the end of the task) or simple text links to files in the project directory (in which case they are already in place on task termination!)
This is weird, after another project did an update and loaded in preferences again, the second file upload. The first file is still stuck.
Queued uploads for a given project that need to be backed off will be given a tentative retry time, and the more uploads get suspended, the longer the planned delay will tend to be. This can result in tasks eventually being uploaded in an order very different from that in which they were originally submitted :-)

Hope this is of interest :-)

Cheers - Al.
