Thanks to the WCG Forum and data center people for letting us know about the outage. ... But I'm curious about the "July" part. ... They didn't mean "June", but put "July" by mistake, did they?? ... We're not used to anywhere that length of notice before a shutdown. Hi MarkH, Yes, we do mean July 25th. We provided this update as soon as we were informed of the upcoming outage. |

Do we know how "small" it's going to be?

According to the OP, they're estimating that it'll be down for up to 2 days...

Not at all helpful when they totally run out of work 5 days early!

Mike, I agree about the running out of work, but at least it's a planned outage.
----------------------------------------The "out of work" issue hitting us now is a separate issue of projects not running, or running right, or all the time, rather than being WCG/Krembil/whoever else technical issues like we've seen.

If there's an issue of 'out of work', it might be due to people building up ther buffers in preparation for this short outage. I know I've expanded my buffer on 3 computers to 3 days, which, afterwards, I'll be lowering again.
----------------------------------------Thus, it might just be temporary. ![]() |
