I had a stuck task a week or so ago in SCC.
I have one now in MCM, Id is MCM1_0198492_4526_0. Stuck at 12.7%, running 14.5 hrs, Remaining 4d 27:44 hr and increasing fast. Waiting tasks show 3hr run time estimate. OS Win 10 Pro, up-to-date. Looks like I should abort it. Richard |

If you click on the properties button for that task, how does CPU Time compare to Elapsed Time?

I would not abort it, but I would reboot my machine. When it resumes, it should run normally. If it does not run normally after that, then I would abort it.

It s now showing 22 hr run, 6+ days to go, still 12.6%.
MS wants a reboot so will do when my backup finishes... Richard |

Rebooted, ran and terminated normally... strange behavior.

Probably got into some kind of loop from a memory leak.At least, that is my guess.

I have one: MCM1-0198578-8257-0 also. Stuck at 58.122% for about 12 hours, total CPU time 1D 30M. I aborted before I read suggestion for reboot as I assumed it was a task problem

Discovered I had only suspended. I rebooted and CPU time reverted to c. 3h50m and then finished at 4h53m. So it seems like some minor glitch in transition?

After experiencing similar problems, and aborting several times, I actually went to Boinc and downloaded again. It went seamlessly & all tasks have been running flawlessly for over 24 hours. Cranking 8 MCM & 3 SCC on a Dell XPS 15, Win 11 regularly.

Cranking 8 MCM & 3 SCC on a Dell XPS 15, Win 11 regularly. Did you re-install the MCM version of Boinc (7.16.11) or the latest greatest Boinc? (I have simiilar long-running MCM tasks.) Thank you. |
