It has been noted as a bug that if this file is empty, then BOINC will not connect properly at start up on the local machine. It HAS been fixed for the next version (5.2.8?).

I really do hope so ... am I the only person who cannot get the manager to work?

I have deleted the file, but I do not get a new one ... I think I should just delete the whole lot and start again. sad
