Problem connecting...

Got this problem when starting client:
2005-11-10 11:22:59 [World Community Grid] Scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi failed: system fopen
Is this a WCG problem or is it the computer?

Thanks a lot. smile

Re: Problem connecting...

Hello PohSoon,

Did this happen on a new install or has your system been running BOINC for a while?

Hi,
It's a new install, I just put more ram so that it can run the agent biggrin
It's a P3 700MHZ with 256MB, Mandrake 10.2.

Thanks smile

Re: Problem connecting...

Oops. Some of the files inside the BOINC directory belongs to root.
This should be the cause.

PohSoon --
I noticed that the images in your signature are missing. The guy that had been hosting them converted his website into a support center for the people that were victims of the hurricanes this summer and we lost the images that had been there. You could use the files that Graham is hosting now. I would suggest the following:

{img]gahood.org/H90.jpg[/img]{img]gahood.org/f/sg.gif[/img]
replace the braces "{" with square brackets "[" twice and you will get:

You could ask Graham for a personalized banner, but I think he has been pretty busy as of late.
