Q: Is WCG participating in the BOINC Survey?
Sidock recently started sending WU's and I went to their site (https://www.sidock.si/sidock/) to see if there was any new "News" and they posted about a BOINC Survey. I'm not familiar with this but it sounded like a good chance to provide feedback. https://app.fillout.com/flow/esDGuRswWfus |

Filled the survey. They ask no personal questions except your country.
BTW I canceled Sidock last February but don't remember why. |

Of course I remember why I canned Sidock. It was just that.
It's too bad. I liked the projects they had. The Italians now get part of that time at TN-Grid |

RE: Sidock... They are jointly run by Russian and Slovenian Scientists, with the servers in Russia and the Science done by both Countries.
I wondered about pulling the plug myself, but they are forthcoming and very gentlemanly about the Science being for Mankind, politics are not involved, etc, so I stayed. Forum statement: https://www.sidock.si/sidock/forum_thread.php?id=195&postid=1612#1612 Anyway, the Survey was of interest so wondered why I hadn't seen other Projects announce. I was glad to provide input to BOINC... |

For now it is just showing solidarity with the rest of the world. If the situation resolves itself then I will probably open it up again.
I realise they have not the liberty we have of standing on our roof tops and shouting that the Prime Minister or President is a this or that and not have to worry about unmarked black helicopters hovering overhead or black SUVs roaming around. Today politics are involved in everything. |

I also stopped Sidock. The scientists are not responsible for policy, nor the invasion of Ukraine. But they are offshoots of the government I understand that they cannot express their own political views about the war without reprisals. But the war is so unjust and barbaric, so many Ukrainian civilians have died feel they should feel some of the pain. The world must let Russians know any way it can that this is not acceptable.
