I have not used BOINC in a while and currently running World Community Grid on Windows 10. The task suspends when I'm not using the computer and I search to disable that and could not find how to keep it running. The computer sleep time is set for 5 hours. Running BOINC 7.20.2 x64. How do set BOINC to run when the computer is not used?

How do set BOINC to run when the computer is not used? That is what is does by default! You would have to mess for example with the "Computing Preferences" to change that in any way.Much more likely, as you mentioned yourself, that your computer is set to some form of power savings, which can not only be the machine as a whole, but for a lot of computers there is for example a separate entry to send the hard drive to sleep (less common now when SSDs are being used). Some also have settings to send networking interfaces to sleep. Any of those settings are non-productive if you want to run any DC project, not only WCG (unattended backups also won't run because of that). Ralf |

After searching, I found the setting in Windows Advanced Power Settings.
