No work units on only one computer.

I have three computers that run BIONC/WCG. Only one of them is having a problem getting work units.

When I try and do and Update under the Projects tab, this is all I get in the event log:

9/27/2022 12:42:59 AM | World Community Grid | update requested by user
9/27/2022 12:43:04 AM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
9/27/2022 12:43:04 AM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for AMD/ATI GPU
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks sent
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for OpenPandemics - COVID 19
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for OpenPandemics - COVID-19 - GPU
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Help Stop TB
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Mapping Cancer Markers
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | Tasks for Intel GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them
9/27/2022 12:43:05 AM | World Community Grid | Project requested delay of 121 seconds

It use to work just fine, and nothing has changed. I even tried a reboot to see if that would help, but no joy.

That's the key part. There are currently not any GPU work units available (well, apparently there are some for Intel GPUs, but not for AMD/NVIDIA). Your other two computers I presume are just requesting CPU work, nothing for the GPUs?

Hopefully soon they will start releasing more of the OPNG tasks to keep our GPUs busy, but not right now.

I am, BTW, seeing exactly the same results. On my system with a GPU:
```
9/27/2022 8:06:35 AM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for AMD/ATI GPU
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks sent
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for OpenPandemics - COVID 19
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Africa Rainfall Project
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Help Stop TB
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Mapping Cancer Markers
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | Tasks for Intel GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them
9/27/2022 8:06:37 AM | World Community Grid | Project requested delay of 121 seconds
```

On one without any GPUs:
```
9/27/2022 7:09:35 AM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
9/27/2022 7:09:35 AM | World Community Grid | Reporting 1 completed tasks
9/27/2022 7:09:35 AM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU
9/27/2022 7:09:37 AM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 1 new tasks
9/27/2022 7:09:37 AM | World Community Grid | Project requested delay of 121 seconds
```

Re: No work units on only one computer.

Thanks! You are correct, that's my only machine that has a compatible GPU (Radeon R7 370). I would figure that WCG would at least send my computer CPU work to work on in the interim.

Is your machine with the GPU getting WCG CPU work to do?

Yes! It's pulling down a batch of CPU tasks every hour or two. And it asks for tasks for the AMD GPU as well, and comes back empty there. Here's the most recent request:

```
9/27/2022 6:37:20 PM | World Community Grid | Started upload of MCM1_0190763_1788_1_r1569020084_0
9/27/2022 6:37:21 PM | World Community Grid | Finished upload of MCM1_0190763_1788_1_r1569020084_0
9/27/2022 6:37:22 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks.
9/27/2022 6:37:22 PM | World Community Grid | Reporting 1 completed tasks
9/27/2022 6:37:22 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU and AMD/ATI GPU
9/27/2022 6:37:24 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 1 new tasks
9/27/2022 6:37:24 PM | World Community Grid | Project requested delay of 121 seconds
```

Is your profile set perhaps to only allow GPU work, and *not* on the CPU?

Re: No work units on only one computer.

That's so odd!

So I looked at my C:\ProgramData\BOINC\account_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml file, and it looks like both CPU and GPU are enabled:

Does yours look similar?

Re: No work units on only one computer.

I notice that you have no_intel_gpu set.
When OPNG started I believe the recommendation was to set the device profile to allow all brands of GPU to be used e.g. AMD/ATI, Nvidia and Intel. Boinc would only supply GPU workunits for the GPUs on the PC.
On the website:
My Contribution select devices
On the devices page select device manager
On the device manager page change the time selections to anytime and refresh
select the profile for your PC
select custom profile
move down the page to the GPU section and set all to yes
move to bottom of page and select save

This may not work but it is simple to try.

Re: No work units on only one computer.

Thanks @ca050065. I tried enabling the no_intel_gpu, but still no dice. However, sometime in the past week, it just started getting units again (I was out of town, so I'm not sure exactly when it happened). Very odd, but I'm happy that it's working!
