----------------------------------------The activity graph is also not updated on this page. https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/overview Also you are not exporting to the signature site any more ?? https://signature.statseb.fr/ Cheerds |

I doubt that they "exported" to any site, ever, much rather there was data available for external sites to pull and I guess that the problem with your signature not updating is the same as with mine (thanks to SNURK), which seems to rely on the internal stats to work.... So just wait and see, Ralf |

Well, Downloads that worked for a few days, tanked back to previous bad results for the last week.
----------------------------------------BionicStats shows Credit per day, but has NOT shown individual device status since 9-21 after 8 days of showing stats (9-20 thru 9-13) wcgsig has only shown 'inactive' since Feb. Yea, stats are not a priority and we have no clue if any of the bring-up stats over the last months from Feb will ever be properly accounted for???? Fingers crossed, but really.... Who would trust this now???? |

Well, Downloads that worked for a few days, tanked back to previous bad results for the last week. Officially, WCG is still in "testing mode"... Though since this morning, I have not seen any stuck downloads (but then OPNG has not been sending any WUs, which could possibly be a factor). BionicStats shows Credit per day, but has NOT shown individual device status since 9-21 after 8 days of showing stats (9-20 thru 9-13) What exactly are you talking about? I am not aware that BOINCstats every showed anything but the users combined stats per day, twice a day...wcgsig has only shown 'inactive' since Feb. Well, that's when WCG shut down for the move. And contrary to what some people seem to assume, it has not been declared operational as of yet...Yea, stats are not a priority and we have no clue if any of the bring-up stats over the last months from Feb will ever be properly accounted for???? Well, no, Ok, nothing has been running from February 21st, when the project shut down until they started to send out test WUs some time in June.and it has been mentioned endless times that one of the things that hasn't been working since is the Internal (per project) stats on WCG.. And there has been no clear statement from WCG as to if any of those stats of the last +3 months now have been preserved or not.. My personal guess is that they have not, thus I am expecting to loose more than 5 years of runtime by now... :(Ralf |

For now, after more than 3 months of "testing", I still doubt that this data is preserved. And I would love to be proven wrong, just for the month now that I have been downloading the history.csv file, this have been 18,000 WUs for more than 5 years of runtime by now.I didn't mind losing a couple of weeks when it was first announced that they send out limited "test" WUs back in June, but by now, I think this accumulated to quite substantial numbers... What doesn't make any sense to me is why would they spend time to make sure that all those WUs are being preserved instead of fixing the stats issue in the first place.Again, I would love to be proven wrong... Adri, Ralf
----------------------------------------A while back, a post by Ingleside in the "2022-08-26 Update (increased WU output & WCG backend changes)" thread in the News forum referenced db_purge , which might save work-unit and result status and statistical data as XML as it purges database records. it could be that that is what's being referred to. Here's hoping... It would be an interesting programming and/or database exercise to recover the missing statistics history from those XML files without actually re-importing the purged data to the production database -- that's the sort of challenge I'd enjoy :-) If this is what was meant, bringing the statistics up to date correctly may well entail some down-time in order to ensure that there aren't issues because of timing. Alternatively, it might be possible to start updating the statistical data piecewise without down-time, but imagine the flurry of contused and/or irritated messages that would start to flow as that exercise started up! :-) We wait, and we may eventually see... Cheers - Al. P.S. I don't think it can do the XML files if multiple copies of db_purge are run. The documentation definitely tends to exclude the possibility (managing multiple XML files for the same date wasn't on the agenda, it would appear!) With regards to WCG retaining members results since the restart, this is the same WCG that shamelessly wipes clean all results from recently inactive members, regardless of the amount of their contributions over the years. The only BOINC project to do so. My team has had over 2000 members results expunged
