With regards to WCG retaining members results since the restart, this is the same WCG that shamelessly wipes clean all results from recently inactive members, regardless of the amount of their contributions over the years. The only BOINC project to do so. My team has had over 2000 members results expunged ![]() This was introduced in 2018 by IBM. From post 651410 (by KerSamson): "it is the way used by WCG to comply with GDPR requirements.", "it is only the chosen way to comply with GDPR requirements regarding the retention of privacy relevant data which must be time-limited after the end of the "relationship" between member and WCG." Juan Hindo wrote in post 651410 from 2020 already: "As a global IBM initiative, World Community Grid must comply with various laws and regulations." Therefore, you shouldn't be surprised to read post 673022 from Krembil Admin Igor Jurisica: "GDPR privacy rules - we follow them too - and remove any inactive member after 3 years." |

"it is only the chosen way to comply with GDPR requirements regarding the retention of privacy relevant data which must be time-limited after the end of the "relationship" between member and WCG."
----------------------------------------IBM's lawyers just took the safe option in interpreting the GDPR requirements so they did not get a hefty fine. WCG does not keep sensitive privacy relevant data. There is no requirement to even use your real name with BOINC and the vast majority don't. What they should have done, as they did with exporting data was provide a tick box, so a member could opt in to retain their data if they become inactive. I suspect IBM's decision to offload WCG was because of any risk associated with GDPR's requirements. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by stoneageman at Sep 27, 2022 2:10:08 PM] |

Every time I look at My Contribution since WCG Restarted up to today my "Runtime has not changed from 650y
----------------------------------------Any idea when this problem will have a solution? Device history is lacking as well. (I am visually impaired and cannot read easily. So if a solution or fix exists please let me know.) Tasks are working better every day! Thanks ![]() |

And I thought this is an issue on my side. I recently started working for WCG again and at first I got no work because of thousands of HTTP transient errors and now I do not even see anything in my statistics. It's just empty. "My activity over time" is an empty list, the "Current streak" is 0, there's is just nothing.
I'm really thinking about quitting again if all that expended energy doesn't show up in the stats. |

This has been an ongoing problem for everyone. They are still using the results we give them. They will eventually get the stats fixed, hopefully with what we have already crunched. At least, so far, they claim they have the records for what has been crunched. Speaking as somewhat of a stats junkie, I too miss the stats updates. Cheers

Every time I look at My Contribution since WCG Restarted up to today my "Runtime has not changed from 650y Yes, this has been a problem since the "testing" phase of WCG started back in June.Any idea when this problem will have a solution? Device history is lacking as well. And no, there is no clue as to when this can be expected to be fixed, communication from WCG/Krembil has been rather lackluster and wage ("it's on their radar"). Again, the whole project is still "in testing", so it is to be expected that not everything is working as it should... "Harre der Dinge die da kommen sollen"... Ralf |

Good news, WCG starts are showing up again today. Waiting for them to backfill and correct missed data now.

Don't hold your breath on that. Until I see the backfill happen, I'm very sceptical.

The have not been any stats been added for the time from June to 9/27... Ralf |
