Hi everyone,
We are sorry about the lack of communication lately. While waiting for the network issue at the data center to be resolved, our top priority is fixing the Contributions page on the website right now so everyone can see their results from the testing phase. Soon after it has been completely fixed and tested, we will explain it in a full update article. Thank you for your support, patience and understanding. Here’s to a great week! - WCG team |

Hi everyone, Given the overall time frames that this is all going on, I am still rather skeptical.We are sorry about the lack of communication lately. While waiting for the network issue at the data center to be resolved, our top priority is fixing the Contributions page on the website right now so everyone can see their results from the testing phase. Soon after it has been completely fixed and tested, we will explain it in a full update article. I did notice that something is going on as validated results on the "Results" page are not being purged as usual (the # of WUs has about tripled since Friday), so there is some hope. But... I'll repeat my question from February: Will our streaks be preserved? Back then, knreed said that they would. And I believe this has since been mentioned again. Indeed. This link to a post by Cyclops states: "Streaks are preserved in our database", adding "but will be visible on the forum once BOINC restarts." That would be interesting: 'they will be visible on the forum'. I mean, is this really going to happen? Not that I don't want it, but I haven't seen it before on the forum. Would Cyclops care to comment on this? Yeah, Ralf, I know you read this and also that your reply to that post by Cyclops was That "Streak" stat is pretty much useless anyway, it would be a continuous counter for everyone but some rare occasional crunchers... - no need to repeat that.  |
