New Projects - have I missed something

I have been a member of WCG for years and never had any issues, I have read forums going back 2 or 3 months advising "still in testing phase"

Have we any update when my computers are likely to get new projects to calculate or have i missed something in settings as there sitting telling me theres no tasks.

Recognise their is probably loads of data to calculate, I just need to know do i just close WCG on all my PC's and turn them off at night and save the power and wait for an email telling me all is now running.

Any advice welcome from the admin teams on a date when projects will be released or advice why im not seeing any if their already back.

Re: New Projects - have I missed something

Why not run something else until WCG are back at full production?

DENIS, Rosetta, SiDock and TnGrid all have medical related tasks.

I have turned off all but one of my systems which will give me the indication of when the full system resumes. I also am into saving the power.

Re: New Projects - have I missed something

I'm in the same position... have the latest BOINC version, yet no WCG tasks. I cannot believe the WCG migration to Krembil Research Institute is taking almost one year and no real communications from team.. other than still testing, project dates missed and no communication for weeks at a time and now interviews on research.. yet no actions from Krembil on WCG and no tasks to users. Because of this project team mismanagement and/or lack of IT knowledge, a lot of hours/days/years of WCG research is being lost.

Re: New Projects - have I missed something

I think we need to remember to thank Krembil for picking up the projects that IBM was willing to throw away. I think Krembil is getting close. They have successfully sent out WUs and accepted returns and have had the grit to continue to work on getting WCG back up after each new problem.

Just think how much would have been lost if Krembil didn't commit to taking the project on.

My guess is that we are waiting on the network people to figure out the latest issue. Check the news section of the forum, they are saying they will communicate more frequently now.

The proof is in the pudding. We'll see.
