List of known website issues & how to report them

Is there a list of known website issues?

If we see a problem with the website, how do we report it to Krembil?

I've just received one ARP task and while looking round the website spotted two issues.

1. On https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/overview the last block has data-tip="1970-01-01 : 0:000:00:00:00" (unix epoch). I can see other posts about this but haven't seen an acknowledgement from Krembil.

2. On the project statistics history pages, the images for the pagination buttons are missing (e.g. https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/images/2left_inactive.gif)

Both those issues has been known since the project restarted.
Issue 1 has been explained several times already.

Explanation of issue 1: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...ead,44146_offset,0#673751
Issue 2 is a work in progress.

So where is the list of currently known issues which would reduce the number of repeat postings of the same issue?

The link you posted didn't take me to the appropriate post - it took me to the first post in the thread. I did manage to find the post you meant to link. The URL you get when you copy the link from the icon that looks a bit like a paper clip is https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=673751 and that does work. When you click that link it changes the URL to the one you posted and that doesn't work. Is this a known and reported bug with the forum software?

Regarding that post, it like all the other posts I've seen about that problem is an explanation from a user. Could you point me to where someone from Krembil has acknowledged this issue?

You should be able to see explanations for current issues in the Updates we have been posting or in discussions between forum users (typically in the Update threads). All of these threads are available in the News section.

That's odd. The link that Grumpy Swede posted works for me: it takes me to my own post in which the Unix date 01-01-1970 00:00:00 UTC (seen in My activity) is explained.
BTW, I'm using Firefox (recent version 102; more precisely: firefox-102.0-1.fc35.x86_64, if you must know).

So you are expecting users to plough through pages of posts and replies to try and find if it's a previously reported issue. The way you are doing things at present means the signal to noise ration will be very low meaning many postings of the same issues.

What's the issue with you having a sticky thread in one of the boards where someone from Krembil posts known issues. I'd suggest it's locked so that only Krembil can post and edit the posts when issues are fixed.

Having worked in IT for over 40 years including many years in support departments, I must say this appears to be the worst project I've ever seen for fault management and communications with users.

An issue i have noticed is the Global Statistics page is still frozen since the project was paused. Still shows 380 years of CPU core time as the average and 0 for yesterday although a small number of work units seem to be trickling out for testing.

Post the first 30 or 40 logs from your event log. It is possible that since the project is only sending out a limited number of work units you just haven't gotten any yet due the dearth of units available.
