I'm retired so I can spend as much time as I want on WCG, or anything else really. smile

Now, my profile is even closer to reality:

Yes, looking back I saw something like that around that time - we are in the same timezone (CEST), I think - too:

@adriverhoef:

Yes, and now it works as it should. If you update your profile, at the next BOINC update/request, the new date and time for the profile update shows.
Now, the only question left about the profiles, is if WCG obeys the profile settings, or if they are still in test mode, and send out whatever they have.

Re: Workunit testing & FAQ announcement thread

Admins manage to change something i had to only allow gpu work but changed it after change to Krembil to allow cpu and all project.

Right now now i do i finally got a task for Africa Rainfall.

Edit:
Checking in event log it appears that it took the changes that i did 6 Jul then after an half hour it cached last modified 10 Jul it at timestamp around 7 pm yesterday (27 July).

On next update on host it show CPU and NVIDIA instead of NVIDIA only.

Re: Workunit testing & FAQ announcement thread

Just a suggestion to limit this testing phase to those who opted into the Beta group, which has historically been the case. That will cause less confusion, and you'll likely receive better feedback on issues.

That was brought up before, however, the testing currently done, by the process itself, is different from a "beta" test, thus such a separation is not possible...

Re: Workunit testing & FAQ announcement thread

I'm not sure why people are removing (or threatening to remove) the WCG option. Boinc is easy to set up with a resource share. I have WCG at 100% and Milkyway at 0% and Einstein with No new tasks. I have WCG checked and prioritized and MW for a backup, and Einstein in the wings as a backup to the backup. EASY.

Your threats of leaving do nothing. They want the projects up and working too. It will happen when it happens and none of our whining can change that. Let's try support and encouragement. It also may not change much, but we might all feel a bit happier.

Don't get it either. I'm simply crunching Einstein until WCG becomes fully operational again, don't see the point of "steeling" the rare WCG WUs from some "set and forget" machines or unexperienced users, who don't know how to set up more projects. No additional science will be done by that. Currently WCG has all the computational ressources it needs, I'll come back when it needs more.
